Oluwaseyi (Seyi) Anifowose is a renowned Nigerian educator, advocate, and Guinness World Record holder. As the Convener of the “Let There Be Teachers” (LTBT) initiative and Director of Partnerships at 1 Million Teachers (1MT), he has dedicated his career to restoring the dignity of the teaching profession and positioning educators as the cornerstone of national development.
His leadership reached a historic peak on September 20, 2025, when he successfully organized the largest gathering of teachers in history at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, officially entering the Guinness World Records. This feat served as a global statement that “Teachers Matter,” attracting the attention of policymakers and international agencies alike.
Building on this momentum, Seyi is currently spearheading the “National HOPE Attempt,” a federally endorsed 2026 conference aimed at gathering 200,000 teachers across all 36 states and the FCT. Through strategic partnerships with the Federal Ministry of Education, he continues to bridge the gap between classroom excellence and systemic policy reform, ensuring every Nigerian teacher is honored, rewarded, and empowered.
